.

Between birth and the time they begin formal schooling in first grade, children undergo a remarkable amount of development. They learn to walk, to talk, and to interact appropriately with others. They learn about both the social and physical aspects of their everyday world.

ScienceStart! is designed to support the important developmental achievements of the preschool years. The underlying premise of ScienceStart! is that all children are able to learn and eager to learn. We believe the preschool years should be devoted to establishing a strong foundation in essential cognitive skills and a rich knowledge base. This foundation is central to children's academic success in later years, including their success in learning to read.
